How Delight Creates Loyalty

Choosing Different Lanes

You are on a highway, moving along at a good pace when the traffic in your lane slows down. You glance at the lane next to you and notice that it’s clear, so you transition over. Ah, nice and easy.

Every day, your customers are choosing a different lane. It happens as automatically as checking your blind spot and flicking your turn signal. Customers don’t want barriers. They don’t want confusion or stumbling blocks, they want a clear path.

In the rush to provide such a path, businesses make the mistake of mislabeling the problem. They pile on new features, embrace technology too soon or too late, and in some unfortunate cases, become complacent and never see the looming industry shift around the corner.

The problems facing your customers can’t be fixed by pumping your product with more features, creating a Facebook page, or adding an iPad to your stores. They can only be fixed by understanding the most frequent cause of stumbling blocks: bad user experience.

You Can’t Get Away With Bad Experiences Anymore

Customers have grown more aware of their choices. They compare prices on their mobile phones, access social media to poll the community for service and product advice, and make decisions at a much faster rate.

Improvements in technology and availability of information has made it easier than ever to find a better experience. If you don’t do it, someone else will.

But what does a better experience mean?

Better Experience = Delight

Each time a customer handles your product, speaks with your employees, reads through your instructions or otherwise touches your business, they are forming a relationship. Thanks to innovation in the social space, these interactions are happening so fast that it’s possible for a prospect to form a relationship before they make a purchase.

Because of this, Swish Labs focuses on making each interaction (and each relationship) a pure delight.

The great thing about “delight” is that it is platform agnostic. It is device independent. The technology shifts, the programming languages change, the design aesthetic evolves, but the desire to delight never disappears.

When you focus on delighting your customers, you innovate for them. You push against the status quo, seeking out new technology to solve their problems. You approach challenges with enthusiasm because you know that the details you obsess over, the ones that competitors gloss over with a dismissive wave of their hand, are bringing joy to your customers’ lives.

At the heart of Swish Labs is a desire to see the world filled with beautiful, enjoyable products that are exciting to use. This focus, paired with a grounded and quantifiable approach to measuring experience, is brought to every project we work on.

We understand that in this noisy, chaotic marketplace of competing self-promotion, a company that delights the customer is a company that wins.

Better experiences win hearts. Better experiences win markets. Better experiences win loyalty.

Introducing Swish Labs. We are ready to delight.
